Food Production Worker
Shift: Full-Time; 40 Hours/Week; 5:30am – 2:00pm M-F and every other 11:00am – 7:30pm Saturday and Sunday
Eligible for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus.
Food Production Workers are responsible for preparation of all room service and cafeteria food. They complete daily worksheets and use standardized recipes. Other responsibilities include proper food handling, storage, and rotation of inventories in the department. Maintains and adheres to all procedures in order to produce attractive, palatable, nutritious and safe food for all patients and guests.

Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, portion, slice, carve, cook, and grill food items while following approved recipes, HACCP guidelines, and food safety standards.
- Maintain proper FIFO rotation, labeling, dating, sanitation practices, and temperature monitoring to ensure food quality and safety.
- Complete and document all required HACCP, departmental, and cleaning logs in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, accuracy, and temperatures to ensure safe and appealing meals for patients and guests.
- Properly operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safe and efficient food service operations.
- Follow all healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, Joint Commission (JCAHO), OSHA, and applicable federal and state requirements.
- Prioritize patient, customer, and workplace safety by preventing errors, accidents, and infections and promptly reporting concerns.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, nursing staff, and coworkers.
- Deliver excellent customer service by demonstrating a friendly, efficient, and responsive attitude while upholding organizational values and service excellence expectations.
Experience:
- Two years cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cook’s level within six months in this position.
- ServSafe Certification is preferred but not required.
