Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Physicians, Nurses, and Specialists to develop customized nutrition plans that accelerate healing.
• Opportunities to lead in-service education, mentor dietetic interns, and contribute to policy development.
• Responsible for maintaining clinical nutrition policies and procedures, kept current and in compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintains diet manual and nutrition formulary consistent with current evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.
• Develops and implements plans and programs which maintain consistently high quality, evidence-based clinical nutrition services, and collaborates with Nutrition Food Services leadership team.
• Represents the Nutrition Services Department formally and informally through inter-departmental communication, as well as participation in committee and task force activities, and in professional associations.
• Uses various computer systems, including EMR, Online Nutrition Care Manual, MS Office, etc. High level user of healthcare information systems.
• Works independently and with initiative to seek information to coordinate activities and follow through on tasks.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics
• Dietetic Internship or CDR approved equivalent
  
  

Experience:

• Experience with computers
• Experience with patient nutrition care
• Experience with customer service
  
  

License(s)/Certification(s):

• CDR Registration as Dietitian
• Iowa & Illinois Licensure as Dietitian
