This Cardiovascular Lab Scheduling Coordinator is the initial point of contact for all calls coming into the Cardiovascular Labs (CV Lab) (serves as main Triage point of contact for the CV Labs.) Channels all incoming and outgoing communications for the CV Lab and schedules all procedures (including some procedures that occur outside of the CV Lab, such as: OR assists, NORA partnered cases) with adherence to selecting correct patient and procedure. This position requires knowledge in medical terminology/clinical language to ensure accuracy for the patient’s procedure.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  
  

License/Certification:

• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  
  

Experience:

• 6 months to 1 year experience in healthcare setting.
  
  

Other:

• Familiarity with EPIC scheduling systems
• Familiarity with the procedural or OR Environment
• General knowledge of CPT & diagnosis codes, which are entered for every case schedule in the CV Lab
