A Child’s Place at 435 4th St Troy is looking for energetic, kind and compassionate people to join their staff! This location is on a bus line!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months.
- Serve as Lead Teacher in the infant classroom, partnering with the Childcare Manager to support the daily operations and overall functioning of the facility.
- Support all aspects of children’s care, including feeding, diapering, supervision, engagement, and developmental activities.
- Guide and collaborate with classroom staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and programming.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Create and sustain a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist colleagues and support overall program operations as needed.
- Maintain required MAT (Medication Administration Training) certification.
- Promote and model an environment of inclusion, respect, and belonging for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education; or
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; or
- Minimum of 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education with experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 18 months preferred.
- Strong flexibility and ability to adapt as program needs change throughout the day.
- Dependable, responsible, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance.
- Ability to pass required background checks in accordance with regulatory standards.
