We are seeking a motivated Cleaner to provide janitorial services at our contract site in Albany. This role involves routine cleaning, floor care, and restroom maintenance to ensure a professional and sanitary workspace for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove trash and recycling from offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Push large gondolas and operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers/waxers.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, dust mop, wet mop, strip, wax, and buff floors.
• Maintain, clean and restock restrooms with toiletries.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely.
• Report to supervisors as needed.

Requirements:

• High school or GED.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist, and stretch for extended periods.
• Ability to perform light to medium labor, including lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in using cleaning equipment and products safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written comprehension.
• Knowledge of barriers to employment faced by individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to use office equipment.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist and stretch for long periods of time.
• Ability to work efficiently and with the public.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
