Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Nursing (DON) with extensive nursing home experience to join our team at Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our nursing department and overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care. With a focus on rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, you will work closely with our Medical Director and other department heads to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department, aligning with the center's mission and goals
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide exceptional patient care
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and other department heads to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that they are individualized, comprehensive, and evidence-based
• Ensure that nursing staff are adequately prepared to handle emergencies and crisis situations, providing support and guidance as needed
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
• Develop and manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among staff members
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and patient care
• Current RN license in the state of Florida
• Certification in nursing administration or a related field is preferred
