Position Overview
KuraVida is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all clinical operations. The DON will play a foundational role in building the clinical team, establishing care standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance as KuraVida prepares to serve the South Florida community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all nursing and clinical operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including AHCA standards
- Conduct patient assessments, care plan development, and quality assurance reviews
- Collaborate with the Administrator to align clinical goals with overall business objectives
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Serve as the clinical liaison with physicians, referral sources, and community partners
- Manage on-call scheduling and provide clinical guidance as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (required)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of home health nursing experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a home health setting (strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and AHCA home health regulations
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- CPR/BLS certification
