Position Purpose:
Perform duties for the Supply Chain & Operations Services department as assigned. Coordinate the shipping, receiving, and storage of materials, equipment and supplies. Prepare requests for quotes and requisitions within Unitil’s Purchasing System. Issue, receive and reconcile material to Work Orders through the use of Unitil’s Inventory and Accounting systems. Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels within designated fiscal parameters to support operational requirements. |
Principal Accountabilities:

40% | Receive and issue materials, equipment and supplies to support all functions of the operating company; including job site delivery of material. This includes ordering, inventory, disposal, and handling of company gas meters and material assets as identified by management. |
25% | Initiate action for the timely requisition of material, equipment, supplies and services to avoid stock outs and operational deficiencies. Perform responsibilities in the absence of the the Lead Storekeeper including but not limited to PO creation, service related product ordering and customer requests. |
15% | Clean, maintain and organize stockroom, stockyard and exterior pipe storage areas and adhere to all safety rules and requirements per company guidelines. |
10% | Assist in management of materials at field locations along with satellite storage locations within service territory as needed. |
10% | Perform other duties as assigned in the context of stockroom operations including, but not limited too, inventory cycle counts and reconciliation as well as implementing material management directives as determined by management. |

HOURS: Hours shall be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. WAGE: Ultimate rate - *$43.09 per hour, for a 40 hour week. Overtime rates in accordance with Agreement. *Starting wage will be in accordance with Article VI. |
