What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner III position at United Wholesale Mortgage?
As a Product Owner at UWM, you will be working with our IT Teams, UWM leadership, and end users to maximize the value our products deliver for our internal and external clients.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology, or as a Product Owner or Business Specialist.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
•Provides direction to team based on vision
•Collaborates with Product Manager or Business stakeholder(s) if there is not a PM to define the epic backlog
•Submits Uzone App Dev Project Requests and provides updates around the work as it progresses and when it will deploy for greater awareness
•Writes the epic to ensures it provides clear and incremental business value.
•Owns priority of story backlog
•Breaks down the epic into shell stories (title, description) collaborates with the BA as the BA is better defining the story including AC, additional requirements, etc.
•Provides PO Approval for stories to be ready for development work to start
•Completes User Acceptance Testing and approves the story to be ready for deployment
•Communicates progress to stakeholders during development cycle
•Creates and maintains the current and future business process and user workflow
•Key translator between business and technology
•Owns and facilitates the demo including scheduling, getting stakeholders involved, ensuring feedback is captured and kick off the meeting
