Data Systems & Integration Manager Summary: The Data Systems & Integration Manager plays a key role in strengthening the systems that quantify the impact of UWM programs and investments. This role will focus on building, connecting and improving databases that support critical programs like 211, while also contributing to broader efforts across JAG Nebraska, Goodfellows, fundraising campaigns and UWM investment funds. The manager helps to create a more connected, real-time view of how our work supports individuals and families while ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. This role sits at the intersection of programs, data and technology and requires collaboration across internal teams. Success in this position depends on the ability to understand program needs, translate them into data and system solutions and bring those solutions to life in a practical, actionable way. The manager will work closely with program staff, technical partners and leadership to ensure data systems meaningfully support day-to-day operations and long-term impact. Responsibilities: Designs, builds, and maintains SQL and other relational databases to support program and operational needs Links and integrates data across platforms, including 211 systems (iCarol, inContact, LinkLive, among others), fundraising platforms, and internal databases Develops and maintains data integration and ETL processes, including automated data feeds, imports, exports and transformations across systems Works with APIs and other integration methods to connect systems, automate data exchange and support scalable data processes Supports the development of real-time or near real-time data views to better understand community needs and service delivery Partners with teams to improve data structure, consistency, and usability across systems Connects data sources to visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support reporting and decision-making Develops and maintains reliable data sources, models and reporting structures that support Power BI and other business intelligence tools Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in data processes, workflows, and system integration Assists in maintaining data quality, documentation, and best practices across projects Contributes to the ongoing improvement of data security, integrity, and governance practices across systems Supports efforts to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and responsibly managed Establishes and maintains practical data-quality controls and processes to identify, troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies Identifies opportunities to streamline processes through automation and improved system design Designs and implements automated workflows that reduce manual processes and improve the reliability and efficiency of data operations Ability to produce reporting that anticipates the needs of the end-user (internal or external client) Serves as a connector between program teams, data systems and technology partners to ensure solutions are aligned with real-world needs Translates program goals and challenges into clear data requirements, workflows, and system improvements Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement and enhance data systems Regularly shares insights, progress and results with program directors and team leads Brings forward ideas and recommendations that strengthen how data is collected, connected, and used Helps translate ideas into actionable plans that improve efficiency and usability across teams Collaborates with stakeholders to evolve systems and processes as organizational needs grow Maintains a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to building more connected and reliable data infrastructure Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate expertise developing and maintaining SQL databases Experience with data integration and ETL processes, including connecting and transforming data from multiple systems Experience working with APIs or other methods of system-to-system data integration Practical experience developing data sources, models or reporting solutions for Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools Familiarity with relational databases and data integration concepts Ability to independently troubleshoot database, integration and data-quality issues and develop practical solutions Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical concepts clearly Ability to translate business and program needs into technical requirements and scalable data solutions Interest in nonprofit work, community impact, or data for good Experience with Python or similar programming/cloud tools preferred Education and Experience: Bachelors degree from a four-year accredited college or university in information systems, computer science, data analytics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Experience in human services, non-profit work, volunteer management, customer service, or relevant organizational work preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
