About the Role
United Way of New York City (UWNYC) seeks someone who plays a pivotal role in advancing UWNYC’s mission by leading executive communications, strategic brand management, and cross-functional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as senior speechwriter for the President & CEO and Executive Leadership Team
- Lead integrated communications strategies and campaigns, internally and externally
- Manage PR firm support and external relations as needed
- Ensure consistency and quality across all UWNYC marketing and communications materials
- Mentor Communications Associate and support team development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required
- 7 years of experience in marketing and communications in a consumer-facing or mission-driven organization
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling messaging
- Experienced communicator capable of presenting strategy and results to senior leadership
- Strong strategic, analytical, and project management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work across multiple departments, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with communications technologies and digital platforms
