What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Development Director position at United Way of Berks County?
Are you a strategic leader passionate about making a difference? United Way of Berks County is seeking a Resource Development Director to guide annual fundraising efforts, with a concentration on providing strategic oversight of workplace and individual donor relationships.
In this dynamic role, you will play a critical role in cultivating a culture of philanthropy, growing revenue, and ensuring a strong donor pipeline to support United Way’s mission. You will work collaboratively with a seasoned team of professionals, and your work will help improve lives across Berks County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee workplace campaigns, including development, execution and measurement of annual strategies.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate accounts and guide year-round engagement.
- Oversee new business development and stewardship.
- Oversee our Leaders United program; developing strategies focused on individual stewardship and cultivation of new donor relationships, which includes management of recognition, events and personalized experiences.
- Manage departmental resources and budgets.
- Collaborate with team to effectively manage important data components to drive strategy and to ensure compliance with United Way Worldwide guidelines.
- Collaborate with team to develop messaging and campaign materials.
- Collaborate with Senior Management team to drive departmental and organizational strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years in nonprofit leadership.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strategic, creative and goal-oriented leader with strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Passion for community voice and creating lasting impact.
