Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator PSU and ED at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:
- The PSU Nurse Coordinator has the responsibility to plan, direct organize coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.
- Ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, TJC, and all Federal and State standards of care.
- The RN cares for all ages from 2 years to geriatric.
- This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to the facility with a healthcare need and providing the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
- This position reports to the PSU Manager and CNO and is in charge of the unit in the absence of the Manager.
- All employees of the unit report to this position
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas Nursing License.
- Current CPR, ACLS preferred.
- PALS recommended
- Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery preferred
- Leadership and education experience is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in ER or ICU required
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good organization habits.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
