Position Summary

Position Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) provides clinical leadership and oversight of nursing and patient care services within the ambulatory surgery center. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing and clinical staff.
- Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards.
- Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor patient care quality, outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and leadership to optimize patient care and workflow.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation reviews.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to patient safety practices.
- Assist with clinical supply management and budgeting as needed.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or perioperative setting.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and ASC regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Outpatient ambulatory surgery center setting.
- Collaborative team environment with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
