Qualifications:
To be considered qualified for this position you must meet the following qualification requirements for the respective grade level in which you are applying.
You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting base salary $76,463.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level performing duties such as:
- Utilizing technical equipment and software to conduct network intrusion investigations, digital forensics and mobile forensics to support criminal cases.
- Providing computer forensic support to law enforcement investigations such as evidence seizure, data recovery and training.
- Assisting in the identification and collection of digital and/or mobile evidence to use in support of a criminal investigation.
You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting base salary $90,925.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties such as:
- Conducting computer forensic analysis or network forensic analysis, and mobile device forensic analysis.
- Providing computer forensic support to law enforcement investigations such as evidence seizure, data recovery, and training.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:
The selectee will serve as a Network Intrusion Forensic Analyst in the Office of Field Operations. Typical work assignments include:- Serving as a Network Intrusion Forensic Analyst and performing digital forensic examinations and live analysis on operational computer systems and/or networks.
- Serving as a digital forensic analyst who utilizes specialized hardware and software to conduct complex digital forensic analysis in support of complex criminal investigations.
- Preparing technical written reports detailing the findings of their examination of digital evidence.
- Serving and testifying as a witness as required at trials in support of criminal proceedings.
Salary : $76,463 - $90,925
