As a Marine Corps Judge Advocate, you’ll serve as both an officer and an attorney. You’ll advise commanders, represent Marines, and handle a diverse range of legal issues—including criminal prosecution and defense, international law, contracts, ethics, and more. No other legal career offers this kind of breadth, responsibility, or impact so soon after law school.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide legal counsel to Marines and leadership
  • Litigate criminal cases—both prosecution and defense
  • Advise on international, operational, and military law
  • Draft legal documents and represent the USMC in courts and hearings
  • Work as part of a close-knit, mission-driven legal team


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Current law students (2L/3L) or recent JD graduates
  • Bar admission (or plans to sit for the bar)
  • Strong academic performance and commitment to service
  • Adaptability, leadership potential, and sound judgment
  • U.S. citizenship required
