Qualifications:
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:- Assisting with budgets, procurement, and travel.
- Interpreting and applying directives, regulations, and policies as they relate to budgetary and financial operations.
- Using automation systems to effectively and efficiently complete required major duties and responsibilities.
- Monitoring expenditures ensuring resource allocations and monetary commitments are used correctly and paid for in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:
This position starts at a salary of $89,508.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10)The Mission Support Specialist (Finance) plans and carries out a variety of mission support, budgetary, administrative research, and program planning activities. Performs significant review and analysis of budget, management, training, logistics, procurement, and other assigned areas. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating and executing of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
- Planning and carrying out a variety of mission support, budgetary, administrative research, and program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations.
- Applying knowledge of principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems.
- Making clear and convincing oral presentations to individuals or groups, listening effectively and clarifying information as needed, facilitating an open exchange of ideas and fostering an atmosphere of open communication.
- Organizing work, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements; determining short and long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinating with other organizations to accomplish goals.
- Applying knowledge of methods, metrics, tools, and techniques of business process improvement.
