What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Set Up Operator position at United Standard?
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Set up Operator to join our growing organization.
Hours are: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Setup CNC Milling and Multitasking Machines.
- Editing programs on Fanuc Controls.
- Performing tool changes, machine set-ups and program modifications.
- Utilizing precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and depth gauges.
- Reading blueprints, diagrams, drawing and sketches to produce high quality and close tolerance parts.
- Detecting defects, performing quality assurance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintaining a safe and clear work area.
- Performing minor preventative maintenance on machines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years CNC Milling and/or Lathe Machine Setup
- Milling/Turning experience in a fabrication or machining environment.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
