We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our United Spine & Pain Team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with appointment scheduling using our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Coordinate patient referrals, follow-up appointments, and test scheduling to optimize care continuity
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient interactions, medical history, and treatment plans in EMR/EHR systems
- Verify insurance coverage & explain health insurance policies to patients
- Support medical staff by handling administrative tasks such as preparing patient charts, updating records, and managing correspondence
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies and confidentiality standards in all patient interactions
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of health regulation policies and compliance standards is essential for maintaining legal and ethical practices
- Experience with medical administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance processing is desirable
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently is required
