Client Access Specialist
Location: 1007 North Main Street, Dayville, CT 06277

Client Access Specialist Description:
Client Access Team members process initial screening requests for services to insure a smooth client entry into programs. This position collects all information necessary to determine appropriateness for services, completes all required forms and collects client demographics and other data, including insurance information, initial authorization, and client fees. Strong customer relations skills, time management, multi-tasking, the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality are a must. Evenings may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Screen clients for appropriateness for outpatient services, including medication management.
- Schedule intakes with an appropriate provider once insurance authorization is secured.
- Accurately input client demographic and financial information into EHR in a timely manner.
- Set-up client payment for self-pay clients in accordance with agency guidelines.
- Communicate with program managers/directors when intake slots are insufficient to cover demand.
- Meet with client at first appointment, prior to meeting with clinician, to review HIPAA and other required paperwork. Obtain required releases of information and input into EHR.
- Monitor referral and intake patterns and prepare reports as necessary.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure client needs are met.
- May be required to work at all licensed clinics as assigned. May be required to work evenings.
- Provide back-up coverage and assistance during staff vacations, leaves, and/or vacancies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree and two years relevant experience in a medical setting or a high school diploma and four years relevant experience in a medical setting.
Salary/Hourly Range:
$18.14 - $20.52 per hour (depending on experience)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) rate of pay: $19.06-$21.56 per hour (depending on experience)
