Security Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the security program for USI including management of personnel, enforcement of all USI and Client policies and procedures and continued development and execution of the Client Security Program. Ensure day-to-day compliance with requirements of the Client Security Services Agreement. This individual will also select, train, supervise, and otherwise direct and develop all security and supervisory employees assigned to the security services agreement.
Responsibilities include:
- Knowledgeable in the national, regional and local services provided to Client.
- Provide industry and category market intelligence to Client's key stakeholders that will highlight pertinent security market trends, best practices and other information critical to the successful operation of a security program.
- Present program metrics, site staffing analysis, cost savings recommendations, program utilization, performance metrics, strategic roadmap and other pertinent data in a Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to Client representatives and Senior Executives.
- Maintain the highest-level of professional demeanor and personal standards. Must be available for on-call response 24-hours-per-day as assigned. Work schedule may include evening or night shifts rotation and/or coverage as determined and scheduled.
- Assure that all work schedules for regular and special assignments are designed to provide the service in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Assure that overtime and un-billable hours are minimized to standard.
- Ensure that trained and qualified security personnel properly staff all Client's posts.
- Participate in the identification and selection of applicants for all security positions.
- Conduct initial orientation for all employees and monitor on the job and in-service training of newly assigned and all other assigned security personnel.
- Ensure that all security personnel are aware of and perform their duties in full compliance with the facility security operations procedures and location policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure that assigned security personnel are kept up to date on any modifications to Client and USI procedures, policies, or regulations.
- Work with management in the development and implementation of sound employee relations, development, and retention programs for the location.
- Maintain effective communications with all assigned Client's security personnel. Develop and promote strong team skills within the security department, especially with shift and/or site managers/supervisors.
- Interact and maintain strong relationships with all client, management staff and police/fire/public safety partners. Be responsive, polite and professional with all tenants, visitors, customers and patrons of the client environments.
- Counsel, advise, motivate, and (when necessary) provide corrective action and positive reinforcement to personnel assigned to the location.
- Schedule and conduct formal and informal employee performance reviews. Prepare and facilitate reviews and approvals for all employee wage/grade changes, promotions, or other changes in job status.
- Schedule standard hours of coverage at least two weeks in advance and ensure that both the working and master schedule in WinTeam are prominently posted for security personnel’s review. Schedule and supervise special assignments and details at locations as required. Prepare all work schedules and weekly payroll time sheets.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency of computer abilities, to include familiarity and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and USI/client proprietary payroll & billing systems and e-mail systems.
- Conduct periodic checks and inspections of assigned Client's security personnel on all shifts at all assigned locations to ensure they are properly performing such duties. Prepare detailed reports and follow-up plans as needed.
- Review and approve all reports, duty logs, etc. submitted by security personnel to the Client.
- Assure that every Client's location’s security operations procedure and post orders manual/ Standard Operating Procedures is maintained and regularly reviewed and updated (minimum every 6 months).
- Ensure timely personal and staff response to all serious incidents. Ensure proper notifications of all parties under USI and Client's notification Policy & Procedure.
Perform all other functions and duties as required or assigned by USI and/or Client's Security Operations Team.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years security portfolio management experience and a minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Position requires excellent verbal & written communication skills. Must have the ability to develop and write business plans, memos, spreadsheets, graphs & charts for business purposes.
- Excellent computer skills with high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and computerized payroll & billing programs (WinTeam).
