Duties
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to target residential and commercial roofing clients within assigned territories
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking events, referrals, and digital marketing initiatives
- Conduct thorough product demonstrations and presentations to educate clients on roofing options and benefits
- Manage customer accounts from initial contact through project completion, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals effectively while maintaining profitability
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, follow-ups, sales progress, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with management on territory expansion strategies and market analysis to maximize growth opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions promptly and professionally
- Upsell additional services or products when appropriate to enhance client value and company revenue
- Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and client communications for reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales within the roofing or construction industry preferred
- Strong management skills with the ability to handle territory management and lead generation effectively
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or other CRM tools for sales tracking and analysis
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with outstanding customer service abilities
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and direct sales strategies
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently while explaining technical details clearly
- Strong analysis skills to evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Experience with inside sales techniques including cold calling and retail sales approaches is advantageous
- Knowledge of marketing principles relevant to territory sales expansion is a plus
