Location: Houston, TX 77019 (River Oaks Area)Pay: $15.50 per hourSchedule: Full-Time | Wednesday – Sunday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Overnight Lobby Security Officer for a high-profile building in the River Oaks area of Houston.

This is a customer-facing position that requires a polished appearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a secure and welcoming environment during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and capable of working independently while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

The Lobby Officer serves as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, and late-night visitors, while ensuring all access control procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at the lobby/front desk
• Greet and assist residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor and control access to the building, including late-night visitor check-ins
• Verify identification and issue visitor credentials as required
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems
• Conduct periodic interior patrols as needed
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Communicate effectively with property management and team members

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (commercial or high-rise preferred)
• Must live within 20 miles of ZIP code 77019
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts
• Ability to stand or remain at post for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in lobby, concierge, or residential high-rise security
• Experience with access control systems and visitor management software
• Military or law enforcement background is a plus
