United Plastic Fabricating is the industry leader in the manufacture of plastic water tanks for the fire industry. In addition, we design and manufacture a variety of products for the industrial and transportation markets.
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings across various platforms
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews
- Prepare offer letters
- Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation
- Ensure completion of new hire documentation
Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files (physical and digital)
- Update HR databases and tracking systems
- Process employment verifications
- Support HR reporting and metrics tracking
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist with benefits enrollment and changes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and HR policies
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee data
- Review timecards for accuracy
Compliance & Policy Support
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Assist in updating employee handbooks and HR procedures
- Support audits and regulatory reporting
Employee Engagement & Support
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events
- Support performance review processes
Act as a point of contact for general HR inquiries
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Preferred Skills
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
