Role: Mechanical Technician

Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs within a high-volume packaging environment.
The Mechanical Technician will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues affecting packaging equipment. The role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills, the ability to diagnose equipment failures, and experience performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on packaging and production equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Inspect equipment to identify wear, defects, and potential failures.
- Diagnose mechanical breakdowns and implement effective repairs.
- Support equipment installations, adjustments, and changeovers as needed.
- Work safely while following plant procedures and maintenance standards.
- Collaborate with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance or technician experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with industrial machinery or production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, or equipment documentation.
- Manufacturing or packaging experience is preferred but not required.
