Open Role: Grinder / Metal Finisher
Experience Level: Entry-Level or Experienced
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Wage Type: Hourly
Pay Band: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour novice, $21.00 - $25.00 per hour experienced
Location: On-site in Worcester, MA
Schedule: Day shift
Primary Duties:
- Perform finishing process on near-finished metal parts, including:
o Grinding
o Buffing
o Painting
o Sand blasting
- Document coatings and finishings
- Interface with ERP system
- Operate pneumatic tools, manual hand tools, and power hand tools
- Assist with Quality Control
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on relevant tools and equipment
- Comply with all safety directives and requirements
Successful candidate profile:
- Helpful and ready to learn
- Follows directions well and demonstrates good attention to detail
- Relevant manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
- Relevant academic coursework for manufacturing trades a plus
- Comfortable in the semi-manual manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with digital production tools (e.g. ERP planning and logging) is a plus
Qualifications required:
- Able to handle prolonged standing, kneeling, bending
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Able to communicate in written and verbal English
- High School Diploma helpful but not required
