X-Ray Technicians

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.

• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to performing procedures.

• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.

• Follow radiation safety protocols and utilize appropriate shielding to minimize exposure.

• Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.

• Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation.

• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.

• Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized imaging room and ensure equipment is ready for use.

• Respond to patient needs and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required.

• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Valid California Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent preferred.
