Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Receptionist / Front Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations in our dental office.
Responsibilities but no limited to:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar
- Verify insurance information and assist with patient intake forms
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front office area
- Handle administrative tasks including emails, correspondence, and data entry
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
- Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
- Communicating with medical insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical/ surgical office preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Problem solving and self sufficient
- Friendly, professional, and reliable
- Familiarity with dental software is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with Apple computers is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Schedule:
Full-time
(Monday–Friday 7.45 AM - 5 PM, occasional weekend if needed)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Benefits available after probationary period (to be discussed during interview)
