Location: Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, Encinitas, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, and surrounding areas
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN
Pay: Competitive hourly pay $20-$25/hour
About the Role
United Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care that helps seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Prepare meals and encourage hydration
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Provide transportation to appointments and errands, when needed
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Follow individualized care plans and complete accurate shift documentation
Qualifications
- Caregiving, home care, CNA, HHA, or related experience preferred
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional with strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if transportation is required)
- Ability to assist with mobility and personal care
- Willing to complete background check, TB clearance, and required onboarding
Preferred Experience
- Dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Parkinson's disease, post-hospital recovery, or mobility assistance
- Experience with gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and transfer assistance
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
