Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict adherence to NYS Department of Health regulations.
- Oversee medication systems, including ordering, inventory, and MAR verification.
- Supervise and train Personal Care Assistants; manage staff schedules and PTO requests.
- Conduct assessments and manage admission processes for new residents.
- Coordinate medical appointments and ancillary services.
- Maintain accurate case management documentation, care plans, and medical evaluations.
- Advocate for residents and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
- Participate in quality assurance audits and policy updates.
- Be on-call for emergencies and work varied hours as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in healthcare, including 1 year in a supervisory role and care management experience.
- Licensure: NYS Registered Nurse License required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the senior population.
