Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to residents with dementia
Foster resident engagement by encouraging participation in activities aligned with individual interests and abilities
Transport and assist residents to and from activities as needed
Develop familiarity with residents’ backgrounds, preferences, and needs
Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and newsletters
Maintain accurate attendance records and resident documentation (photo releases, family contacts, etc.)
Coordinate special events, community programs, and volunteer initiatives
Collaborate with Culinary Services for events involving food or refreshments
Communicate upcoming events to all departments in a timely manner
Encourage family, staff, volunteer, and community involvement
Attend community seminars and educational programs as required
Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Memory Care or Administration
