Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Area Safety Coordinator to oversee safety programs and compliance across our Northeast operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all safety standards are met, coaching teams on best practices, and driving a proactive safety culture in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement, manage, and continuously improve regional safety programs in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and incident investigations.
· Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to site-level safety staff and field teams.
· Partner with project leadership to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
· Prepare and deliver safety reports, documentation, and compliance records.
· Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment on safety requirements.
Qualifications:
· Required or Obtaining: Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification, OSHA 30 Hour, OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer
· Preferred: Additional Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certifications.
· Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in mechanical construction or heavy construction.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and industry best practices.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to travel frequently within the Northeast region.
