Pipe & Structural Welding Instructor – Day Shift
United Group Services / Elite Welding Academy is looking for an experienced Pipe and Structural Welding Instructor to join our team in the Cincinnati area on day shift. Pay is dependent on experience, certifications, and overall welding background.
We are looking for someone passionate about the trade and committed to helping develop the next generation of welders through hands-on training and mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor students in pipe and structural welding processes
- Teach proper welding techniques, blueprint reading, and fabrication fundamentals
- Ensure all students follow welding safety standards and shop procedures
- Evaluate weld quality and provide constructive feedback
- Assist with weld testing preparation and skills development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment
- Help students build confidence and prepare for real-world industrial work environments
Qualifications:
- Strong background in pipe and/or structural welding
- Experience with SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and MIG processes preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, but not required
- AWS certifications are preferred but not required
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Schedule:
- Day Shift
- Monday – Friday (schedule may vary based on training needs)
