Position Summary:
The Machinist in the Machine Complete Division is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality aerospace components to exact specifications. This role focuses on complete part manufacturing from raw material to finished product - ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Machining & Production:
- Set up and operate Trak Lathes, Trak Mills, CNC lathes, mills, and other manual machine tools to produce complete parts per blueprints, models, and process sheets.
- Perform complex setups for tight tolerance work typical of aerospace components.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, CMM, etc.).
- Maintain quality and consistency throughout machining operations by following process plans and inspection criteria.
- Ensure parts meet all drawing and specification requirements before moving to the next operation.
Process Ownership & Improvement:
- Take ownership of jobs from start to finish, communicating any issues or improvements to engineering or supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in setup reduction, tooling selection, and machining strategies.
- Assist in developing and optimizing machining processes for new and existing parts.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure proper sequencing and part flow.
- Support other machinists and apprentices as needed to meet department goals.
- Report production status and potential delays in a timely and professional manner.
Maintenance & Safety:
- Maintain machines, tools, and work areas in clean and organized conditions.
- Follow all company safety procedures and support a safe work environment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report issues requiring service.

Qualifications:
Required:
- 3 years of precision machining experience (aerospace or similar high-tolerance industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation (Okuma, Trak Machine or similar preferred).
- Experience with Trak Mills, Trak lathes and manual machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets.
- Skilled in using precision measuring equipment and verifying tight tolerances (<.0005").
- Experience machining complete parts from start to finish.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with G-code editing and CAM software.
- Prior aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
- AS9100/ISO9001 environment experience.---
Physical Requirements:
