Certified Coating Applicator is a skilled and safety-conscious position. You will be responsible for the surface preparation and application of industrial coatings to a variety of substrates, including concrete, steel, and other critical infrastructure materials, stopping infiltration. The Certified Coating Applicator must have the ability to travel 90% of the time. Travel will consist of local state and out of state Travel.

What you'll do:
- Perform surface preparation in accordance with industry standards (e.g., SSPC-SP or NACE specifications)
- Apply a variety of protective coatings (epoxies, urethanes, polyureas, etc.) using airless spray, plural component systems, brush, or roller
- Follow job specifications, technical data sheets, and quality control procedures
- Mix, thin, and apply coatings as per manufacturer's instructions
- Conduct environmental testing and ensure compliance with ambient condition requirements (temperature, dew point, humidity, etc.)
- Conduct Holiday testing and/or other testing required by the engineer
- Operate and maintain application equipment, pumps, and spray systems
- Collaborate with QA/QC inspectors to ensure proper DFT (dry film thickness), surface profile, and overall application quality
- Adhere to safety protocols including proper PPE usage and confined space/respirator procedures
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and documentation as required by project management
- Conduct leak mitigation
- Ensure Time card punches are done daily and accurately, with notes
- Valid certification as a Coating Applicator Specialist (CAS) through AMPP (formerly NACE/SSPC) or equivalent preferred
- 2 years of industrial or commercial coating experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial coating procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces or at heights
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
- May require overtime, weekend work, and travel depending on project demand
- Ability to travel 90% required
- Able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver’s license w/ acceptable MVR
