Job summary

The Delivery Driver is a crucial member of our logistics team, responsible for the accurate and efficient delivery of auto parts to customers and between branches. This position encompasses a range of duties including part inspection, vehicle loading, route planning, and exemplary customer service. The role also involves weekly vehicle maintenance and reporting to ensure seamless operational flow.

Responsibilities/daily tasks

• Route Execution: Safely deliver auto parts to customers or branches based on pre-assigned route sheets. • Inventory Verification: Cross-reference auto parts with invoices or transfer sheets to guarantee accurate deliveries.

• Quality Control: Inspect parts for any damages prior to departure from the branch, ensuring product integrity.

• Vehicle Loading/Unloading: Manually load and unload parts onto fleet vehicles with meticulous care to prevent damages.

• Payment and Signatures: Obtain customer acknowledgments and payment upon delivery, ensuring all transactions are accurate.

• Vehicle Upkeep: Perform weekly vehicle inspections to ascertain optimal working condition, reporting any maintenance issues to the dispatcher or supervisor.

• Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations during all phases of vehicle operation and delivery.

• Vehicle Cleanliness: Maintain vehicle interiors and exteriors, keeping them clean and presentable at all times.

• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to clients while adhering to all company procedures and processes. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record • Friendly and customer-oriented demeanor

• Strong sense of direction with map-reading skills • Basic mathematical competency

• Team player with an enthusiasm for learning

• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted

• High attention to detail, particularly in verifying the accuracy of inventory and transactions
