Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing (Multi-Site)
Location: Ontario, CA | Periodic travel to Santa Fe Springs, CA
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across two manufacturing facilities located in Ontario and Santa Fe Springs, California. This role partners closely with Plant Leadership and reports functionally to the HR Director.
The HR Manager will play a key role in aligning people strategies with operational objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring consistent execution of HR programs across both sites. This position is based in Ontario, CA, with periodic travel required to the Santa Fe Springs facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations for two manufacturing sites (Ontario and Santa Fe Springs, CA), ensuring consistency in HR practices and compliance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and leadership effectiveness.
- Oversee full-cycle HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, training, succession planning, and HR analytics.
- Manage employee relations programs, policies, and procedures ensuring compliance with California, federal, and local employment laws.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, investigations, and resolution of complex employee relations issues.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen workforce planning, talent development, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop and support training programs to enhance employee capability and leadership effectiveness across both sites.
- Drive compensation and salary administration processes, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends and develop actionable strategies to improve retention, engagement, and performance.
- Support and execute HR initiatives and organizational change efforts across multiple plant locations.
- Ensure effective internal communications that promote understanding of business goals, policies, and operational priorities.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, maintaining awareness of organizational climate and employee sentiment across sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree or HR certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Prior experience supporting multi-site operations strongly preferred.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and HR business partnering.
- Experience working in unionized environments required.
- Solid knowledge of California labor and employment laws, including wage and hour, leave management, and workplace compliance.
- Proven ability to manage recruiting for both salaried and hourly roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% between Ontario and Santa Fe Springs facilities.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 – $150,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
