United Electrical Contractors is hiring a licensed Rhode Island journeyman electrician for residential, commercial, service, and standby generator work throughout Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts.
We are looking for someone dependable, experienced, and capable of running work independently. The right candidate should take pride in clean workmanship, communicate well with customers, and be comfortable troubleshooting and leading projects in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial electrical installations
- Complete service calls and troubleshooting
- Install and service standby generators and transfer switches
- Read plans, specifications, and job instructions
- Lead projects and coordinate work in the field
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Help train and guide apprentices as the team grows
- Complete required job documentation
Requirements
- Current Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician License
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong residential and commercial experience
- Ability to work independently
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and communication
- Ability to lift materials, use ladders, and perform normal electrical construction duties
