United Electric Company was established in 1932 and has been manufacturing Magic Aire branded HVAC products since 1945. We currently have an opportunity for the following position.
JOB SUMMARY
Assembly Manufacturing Manager
Assembly Manufacturing Manager for the manufacture and shipment of high mix, low volume, semi-custom HVAC product to customers across the United States. The Company offers competitive salary and benefits package including paid time off, 401k, and health and wellness coverages.
This position is responsible for operation and management of production employees for a low volume, semi-custom assembly site, and metric-based continuous improvement with focus on customer satisfaction and financial performance answering to the Plant Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
· Monitor activities and supervise Hourly Employees in both the Assembly and Shipping Areas
· Determine most cost effective, timely methods of shipment of outgoing freight while considering freight damage and customer satisfaction.
· Must be able to maintain and improve Material and Information Flow throughout the Assembly and Shipping Areas
· Maintain and Improve 5S in Shipping and Assembly Areas and attain/sustain globally recognized standards of excellence
· Devise and Implement projects designed to improve Part Presentation and Labor Efficiency in the Assembly Area.
· Troubleshoot new or existing manufacturing and/or shipping problems. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operation
· Improve the metrics of Internal PPM, Customer PPM, Labor Efficiency, and Productivity in the Shipping and Assembly Areas as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a technical field such as engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or computer science
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proven leadership in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing
- Assembly & process control experience
- Electrical wiring and controls experience to include advanced troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Quality Measurements & Controls
- Energetic, hands-on, results-oriented management style
- Excellent people skills, able to present information in a clear and convincing manner
- Fully developed professional able to work without direct guidance or direction from others
- Solution-oriented, able to quickly analyze system and drive change
- Computer proficiency with MRP software, Microsoft Office 365 products. Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD is preferred but not required

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
