United Contractor Services (UCS) is one of North America's largest and most rapidly expanding specialty subcontractors, delivering commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and specialty systems across a diverse range of high-complexity project types - including mission critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, corporate interiors, and large-scale commercial construction.
As we grow into new regions, we're looking for a Senior Project Manager who brings strong leadership, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to elevate the people and projects around them.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position within a growing regional division. You won't just manage your own projects - you'll set the standard for how work gets done, support and develop the project management team around you, and play a central role in the division's continued success. You'll have the backing of UCS's national corporate infrastructure and a team that's invested in doing the work right.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as a senior leader within the regional project management team, setting the tone for quality, accountability, and professionalism
- Mentor and support Project Managers, APMs, Superintendents, Coordinators, and Interns
- Help establish and reinforce operational best practices and a high-performance team culture
Project Execution & Operations
- Manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction and estimating through field execution and closeout
- Hold teams accountable to budget, schedule, safety, and quality on every project
- Coordinate closely with UCS corporate support functions - Safety, Accounting, HR, BIM/VDC, and others - to keep projects running efficiently
Business Development & Client Relationships
- Support regional growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, owners, and trade partners
- Contribute to pursuits, bids, and business development efforts in the region
- Help maintain a healthy project pipeline and a growing regional backlog
Financial Performance
- Oversee project-level budgets, job costs, schedules, and subcontractor/vendor coordination
- Monitor labor productivity and revenue performance across your projects
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of project management experience with a commercial drywall or interiors subcontractor - required
- Deep working knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall systems, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related scopes
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, job costs, schedules, and vendor/subcontractor coordination
- A track record of building GC relationships and contributing to regional business development
- Strong leadership instincts with a genuine passion for developing people and raising team performance
- Comfortable operating at a senior level - taking ownership, solving problems, and setting an example
