Duration: 6-12 months contract
Summary:
Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in capital equipment and electro-mechanical systems. This role will focus on sheet metal enclosures, motion systems, and integration of motors, sensors, and actuators within medical device environments.
Key Requirements:
SolidWorks
10 years in medical device industry
Mechanical design for capital equipment / instrumentation
Motors, sensors, actuators, and cabling
sheet metal design, sheet metal enclosure design
Familiarity with injection molding components
Knowledge of FDA compliance, DFMEA, and test protocol development
Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design and development of electro-mechanical systems
Work cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams
Develop and execute DFMEA and validation/test protocols
Support compliance efforts within FDA-regulated environments
Act as technical lead on design initiatives.
