The Portfolio Manager Senior will provide credit, underwriting, and sales support to maximize portfolio performance. You will also serve as a secondary contact on client relationships, ensuring a seamless and efficient loan process.
What You’ll Do
- Portfolio Management:
- Works with lenders to manage all aspects of the local loan portfolio including annual reviews, past dues, BBR’s, covenant compliance, CARs, collateral exceptions, and other portfolio management tools
- Ensures proper risk profile of the market loan portfolio in collaboration with the local President, Commercial Lending Division Manager, and Regional Credit Officer
- Maintains credit authority as delegated by the Regional President
- Team Management:
- Directly manages, as both player and a coach, a market-level team of credit specialist, portfolio managers, and analysts
- Triages, manages, and delegates workflow with Portfolio Specialists in preparation of LARs, credit memos, spread, and related documents
- Coaches and supports the team on developing relational business acumen
- Loan Process Participation:
- Actively participates and assists in all aspects of the loan process including calling, underwriting, presenting through the credit approval chain, and closing
- Identifies and collects all relevant information required to analyze credit requests
- Prepares commitment letters and reviews loan documents
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serves as secondary contact on client relationships
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities with new and existing clients
- Proactively assists lenders in prospecting efforts and makes calls with the lender when necessary
- Required Skills/Experience :
- 7 – 10 years of experience in financial services related to various aspects of commercial lending
- Extensive knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation issues
- Extensive knowledge of various loan structures and capable of making sound credit recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to spread, analyze, and interpret complex business and personal financial statements and tax returns
- Strong ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of individual requests and make recommendations to address and mitigate perceived risks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand and convey complex information clearly and efficiently to varied audiences, including senior executives
- Education : Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting is preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check

Salary : $68,287 - $113,209
