Overview

Responsible for identification, recommendation, implementation, and execution of various pricing related efforts for Bank assets and liabilities. These efforts include direction and oversight of key Treasury tools, processes, reporting, and governance for Pricing Analytics. Provides strategic analysis and pricing recommendations of loan and deposit portfolio pricing using more granular segmentation such as product and market through partnerships with the various back office and line of business functions. Leads strategic discussions with cross functional teams and leadership to gain consensus based on competitive and performance data.

What You’ll Do

  • Pricing Analytics: Direct and lead pricing analytics to support appropriate risk-reward relationships while
  • achieving key strategic objectives within Bank’s risk appetite and tolerance. Owner of pricing tools and related
  • reporting.
  • Profitable Growth: Identify and effectively communicate risks and opportunities using tools/reporting to promote
  • profitable growth. Provide thought leadership on pricing strategy for balance sheet items including loans, deposits,
  • and other borrowings over multiple forecast horizons and scenarios. Point of contact for funds transfer related
  • discussions throughout the Bank.
  • Governance: Enhance enterprise-wide governance of pricing efforts through effective use of reporting, tools,
  • and council/committee meetings. Partner with support areas and lines of business to provide clarity, consistency,
  • and effective challenge of pricing related initiatives such as promotions.
  •  Risk Management: Identify, measure, monitor, and control the risks associated with current and potential
  • balance sheet management efforts. Includes creation and maintenance of documentation such as charters and
  • policies that relate to key functions or processes under this position’s responsibilities.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop team with a focus on continuous improvement of
  • individuals and processes. Serve as chair and/or key stakeholder of various governing councils and committees,
  • with active participation and thought leadership.
  • Compliance Training: Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money
  • laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and
  • seminars/conferences, etc.

Requirements For Success

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. An equivalent education experience can be substituted. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a combination of related areas including pricing analytics, financial planning & analysis, and funding & liquidity.
  • Required Skills:
    • Thorough understanding of balance sheet management for financial institutions, with an emphasis on pricing of loans and deposits. 
    • Working knowledge of funds transfer pricing, credit risk ratings, funding & liquidity, and capital management.  
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Dynamic, analytical, entrepreneurial, creative, and able to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders including senior management.
    • Highly motivated and focused on delivering concrete results.
    • Must work well both independently and as part of a team.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of systems including OneStream, Alteryx, Bloomberg, S&P Global Capital IQ Market Intelligence platform, or Curinos.
  • Experience with data managing and data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI; SQL is a plus.
    • Experience with database management.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages key Treasury functions including pricing analytics and overall balance sheet management. Responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and printers.

Physical requirements:  sedentary, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.

Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

This position requires up to 10% travel.
