The NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the company’s fiber network infrastructure and ensuring reliable service for customers across Middle Tennessee. This is a hands-on technical role focused on network performance, issue resolution, and service uptime.
Position Schedule And Onsite Requirements
This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position located at either our Chapel Hill, TN, Murfreesboro, TN, or Franklin, TN, location. The schedule for this role is Wednesday through Saturday, from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, after the initial 90-day training period.
During the 90-day training period, the position will report to our Chapel Hill, TN location, and the schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. After training, this position will work remotely.

The NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the company’s fiber network infrastructure and ensuring reliable service for customers across Middle Tennessee. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Manage internal and external communications during network events.
- Lead cross-functional coordination and collaboration through resolution.
- Oversee network upgrades and assist the NetOps team remotely.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve network issues.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
- Leverage your expertise to support internal and external networks.
- Utilize industry-standard tools to monitor network performance.
- Troubleshoot Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) infrastructure and equipment from Calix, Adtran, Juniper, and Arista.
- Resolve disruptions in IP, DWDM, and TDM services.
- Manage voice and data services using Metaswitch and NetSapiens Ribbon.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers on complex technical issues.
- Document network events, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions.
- Stay current with network protocols, technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure network security and service quality by adhering to established policies and standards.
- Address complex support cases escalated beyond frontline resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with DWDM and TDM technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Calix, Adtran, Juniper, Arista, Metaswitch, NetSapiens, and Ribbon is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit.
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency in driving the resolution of network issues and ensuring service uptime.
- Demonstrated knowledge of telephony systems and 3–5 years of related experience.
