Location: Fairbanks, Alaska

Job Description

A well-established ambulatory surgery center in Fairbanks is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team. This locum opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with occasional overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for outpatient surgical procedures
• Perform nerve blocks and plexus anesthesia
• Manage ventilation in the OR setting
• Practice independently with support from the surgical team
• Prepare for procedures starting at 7:30 AM (arrival by 7:00 AM)
  
  

Case Types

• General surgery
• Hernias
• Eyes, ears, sinus
• Orthopedic general
• Colonoscopies
• No urology or complex hospital-level cases
  
  

Practice Details

• Independent practice environment
• Average annual patient volume: ~2,800
• One Thursday per month may involve neuro ortho cases
• Credentialing is expedited internally with Alaska primary source verification
  
  

Requirements

• Active Alaska license or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable practicing independently
• Experience with regional anesthesia and nerve blocks preferred
