The Assistant Manager – HR Operations will lead a team of Staff Representatives and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the HR Operations team. Supervises daily HR shared services activities including transaction processing, employee inquiries, and program administration. Coordinates work activities across operational teams to ensure timely completion of HR services and transactions. Implements established procedures and quality standards while providing oversight of service delivery. Ensures consistent application of HR program policies and procedures through team guidance and support.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.

Description
Minimum qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Human Resources or Customer Service function
- 2 years in a Supervisor or Management position
- Up to 5% domestic travel as needed
- Understanding of Federal and State HR laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of Joint Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deal with complex issues
- Understanding of Discretion and Confidentiality
- Strong analytical skills
- Multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize
- Experience making rational, realistic decisions using good reasoning and sound judgment
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with strong employee advocacy orientation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- 3-5 years of professional exposure in a HR department
- Relevant industry experience
- Virtual Chat experience
- Experience using Workday, Peoplesoft, and Service Now

Core Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of the HR Operations team
- Serve as the escalation point to resolve sophisticated issues or requests coming into the HR Operations team that cannot be resolved by the team
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure SLAs are met
- Provides cross-functional administrative support within the overall HR Operations team
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all HR disciplines
- Identifies opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams on implementation of solutions
- Ensure that effective relationships with appropriate internal partners (e.g. HR/LR, Legal, Flight Ops, IT, etc.) and external vendors are established and leveraged to achieve stated objectives
- Develops employees and encourages positive employee engagement
