Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Board of Trustees, the Church Administrator is responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks requiring minimal supervision. Manages office procedures, facilities, schedules, purchasing, and communication services.
Note - This job would require you to be in person at the office in Ogden on Sundays from 9:30am to noon.
Duties
- Highly proficient with office computer applications including database management, spreadsheets, and communications software including Microsoft applications, the Google Office Suite, Dropbox, and Mailchimp. Adept in the use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc…) and related applications to create and manage posts, and communicate with church members and leadership.
- Supervision and coordination with church contractors including for maintenance, computer services, and other functions.
- Management of church facilities access (key disbursement and tracking).
- Ability to design on-line newsletters including graphics and insert videos within documents. Significant experience using Zoom to initiate and manage on-line meetings and programs.
- Management of Church website.
- Appropriately refer callers and visitors to committees such as membership, pastoral care, and religious exploration, and to community resources using the 211 system.
- In coordination with the Worship Associates Committee, prepare and produce weekly Orders of Service.
- Prepares reports and recommendations to the Board. Provides support to church volunteer committees including arranging meetings, purchasing, and coordination with other church committees and personnel.
- Managers and updates material on church benefits, alerting the board to any relevant changes or developments.
- Manages church calendar, including on-line scheduling, to assure meetings, events, and church services are scheduled in appropriate locations, dates, and times within the building and in coordination with the First Presbyterian Church administrator.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in office management including the above referenced job duties. Some tools can be learned on the job providing the applicant has other relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Considerable experience working with volunteers.
- Experience in managing confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well and with the utmost respect for people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, economic status, educational attainment, and sexual orientation.
- Fully committed to the Church’s primary principle of “Affirming and Promoting the Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Person”.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years of college preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for higher education.
- Must pass drug screening and a criminal background check.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
