What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Workplace Interior Designer position at Unispace?
Senior Designer – Workplace Interiors
Boston | Unispace
We are looking for a Senior Designer who doesn’t just design spaces — but shapes how people work, collaborate, and perform at their best.
At Unispace, design is not a phase — it’s embedded across the entire lifecycle. From strategy through to delivery, we partner with some of the world’s most ambitious brands to create workplaces that are intelligent, high-performing, and deeply human.
This is an opportunity to step into a globally recognised, design-led business where you will lead from the front — owning projects end-to-end, influencing clients directly, and delivering spaces that genuinely impact how organisations operate.
The Role
As a Senior Designer, you will take ownership of workplace and commercial interior projects from early concept through to construction delivery — balancing creativity with technical precision.
You’ll work at the heart of a fully integrated design-and-build model, collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and delivery teams to ensure every project is cohesive, buildable, and commercially successful.
This is a role for someone who is as comfortable presenting to clients as they are producing detailed technical documentation — a true all-rounder who can lead, influence, and deliver.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading projects across all stages — concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
- Acting as a key client interface, building strong relationships and guiding design decisions
- Driving creative direction while ensuring technical feasibility and delivery alignment
- Producing and overseeing high-quality drawing packages, FF&E specifications, and Revit-based documentation
- Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants (MEP, AV, lighting, etc.) to ensure seamless execution
- Supporting business development activity — presenting, pitching, and helping win work
- Mentoring and elevating more junior designers within the team
What We’re Looking For
- 8 years’ experience in workplace or commercial interior design
- Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to site
- Strong technical capability, including construction documentation and Revit proficiency
- Confident in client-facing environments, presentations, and stakeholder management
- A designer who combines creative thinking with delivery credibility
- Experience within a design-and-build or fast-paced commercial environment is highly desirable
Why Unispace
Unispace is a global leader in workplace design and delivery, operating across 48 studios worldwide. Our strength lies in our end-to-end model, enabling us to move faster, think smarter, and deliver better outcomes for our clients.
You’ll be joining a team that values:

- A culture that supports growth, progression, and high performance
The Opportunity
This is a chance to step into a role where you will not just contribute — but lead, influence, and shape.
If you’re looking for a position where you can combine design leadership, client exposure, and full project ownership within a high-performing global business, this is it.
