What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI-Native Platform Software Engineer - Full Stack position at Unison Systems, Inc?
AI-Native Software Engineer
Senior Level Full Stack Developer
Role: 3mo Contract-To-Hire
Location: Fully remote, async-friendly.
Start date: ASAP
Unison Systems' client is a well-funded start-up, building the first fully integrated, interoperable, agent-native app engine. This platform is not another AI app builder; they are a shared operating layer that sits underneath AI-generated software and makes it connected, trustworthy, reusable, and economically viable at scale. Just as Unity and Unreal let any indie studio compete with AAA developers, this platform will allow anyone to ship a production-grade software product with identity, payments, data, agents, and distribution built in from day one.
Job Description
Who We're Looking For
Bonus: React Native experience, real-time/WebSocket-driven interfaces, and contributions to open-source projects.

Just as Unity and Unreal let any indie studio compete with AAA developers, this platform will allow anyone to ship a production-grade software product with identity, payments, data, agents, and distribution built in from day one.
Job Description
- Work directly with our founders and core team to build and scale our product from early stage to production-ready platform. This role demands mastery of both traditional engineering and AI-native development. You should be as comfortable writing systems code as you are orchestrating autonomous agent pipelines.
- Build and ship full-stack features across the platform, spanning React frontend, backend services, databases, and infrastructure.
- Design and implement autonomous development and testing pipelines using AI agents, Playwright tests, and multi-agent orchestration running in parallel.
- Develop and refine the platform primitives (auth, payments, data, integrations, notifications, agents) that every app inherits.
- Collaborate with engineering and product to translate complex platform behavior into polished, intuitive user-facing experiences across web, mobile (React Native), and desktop (Electron).
- Contribute to the platform's security and trust layer, ensuring shared identity, permissions, and data handling meet a high bar.
Who We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience demonstrated through strong full-stack projects.
- Fluency with AI coding assistants and agent frameworks; not just using them casually, but building autonomous pipelines, managing multi-agent workflows, and integrating LLMs into production systems.
- Experience setting up end-to-end testing infrastructure (Playwright or similar) as part of automated CI/CD and agent-driven development loops.
- Strong across the stack: React/Next.js/TypeScript on the front end, Node or Python services on the back end, and comfortable with databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Able to reason about complex systems, shared platform primitives, interoperability across apps, fine-grained permissions, and ship reliable code against that complexity.
Bonus: React Native experience, real-time/WebSocket-driven interfaces, and contributions to open-source projects.
