What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Engineer / Technical Development Lead position at Unison Systems, Inc?
AI Engineer / Technical Development Lead
(LLMs, ML, MLOps, Team Leadership)
Role: Contract to Hire (H1 Visa will be considered)
Location: Onsite - DTC (Denver Tech Center) 4 days a week
Experience: Senior / Lead Level
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced AI Engineer / Technical Lead to guide the development and deployment of advanced AI solutions across our product ecosystem. This person will combine deep hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership instincts-someone who can architect solutions, mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and consistently ship high-quality production systems.
You will lead initiatives that include LLM fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent-based workflows, and full ML lifecycle ownership, ensuring that models are reliable, scalable, and impactful. If you're passionate about building real, production-ready AI systems, not research prototypes and want to help shape the next generation of intelligent applications, this is the perfect role.
